Throughout 2022, as part of the program of dissemination activities of the Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo of UV, presentations have been made to students entering the different grades taught at the UV Faculty of Economics.
Within the framework of the subjects of incorporation into undergraduate studies, for the second consecutive year, the Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo of UV offers sessions in which new students are explained The relevance of Social Responsibility and Sustainability (RS+S) for the future competitiveness of the productive fabric of our environment.
Along with a detailed explanation of the legal framework that regulates the RS+S, the strategic importance of the RS+S and is illustrated through the best practices currently carried out by some of the world's leading Spanish companies in their sector. Finally, the RS+S as a future career path.
In the context created by the legislation emanating from the EU, entities of any size and sector of activity will be forced to carry out processes of evaluation of their impact in terms of RS+S and develop action plans to reduce negative externalities and increase, as far as possible, positive ones.
Consequently, entities must develop a new function, define policies and deploy practices and tools that require the participation of specialized and competent professionals.
From the Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo of UV We aim to encourage the interest of new students in the UV Faculty of Economics to keep themselves educated and informed about everything that concerns the RS+S, the 2030 Agenda or the EU Green Deal. By 2023 we aim to develop materials that will enable a greater number of teachers to explain to their students the importance of RS+S and their interest in it as a future professional career after completing their studies.
