The Chair

The Chair was created as an initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration and the University of Valencia.

From the outset, a triple helix approach was developed, seeking interaction between public administration, the business world and the educational community.
In this sense, the Chair aims to be a meeting point, a forum for dialogue, reflection, creation and dissemination of knowledge useful to the business fabric of our environment and to public managers who develop policies to promote the competitiveness of the economy of the Valencian Community.
Promoted by the General Directorate of Economy of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration, the Chair works together with Valencian institutions to make sustainability a key element of competitiveness for the business and organizational fabric of the Valencian Community.
The focus of this collaboration is support for the Registry of Entities
Socially Responsible Valencian Women (SIR Registry)
In order to accompany and support entities that wish to access the Register of Socially Responsible Valencian Entities (SIR Register), the Chair publishes videos, tutorials, manuals and workbooks.

The Chair provides technical advice to companies, cooperatives, non-profit organizations, and public bodies to help them register. It reviews and proposes periodic updates to the SIR Register indicators to ensure they remain aligned with European regulations.

In recent years, CEiH, with the support of the Directorate General of Economy of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration, IVACE+i, and the University of Valencia, has been developing digital tools that simplify accreditation and monitoring processes. Currently, ongoing projects are focused on improving access to sustainability management systems for any organization, regardless of size or sector, reducing the barriers that hinder their adoption within the Valencian production sector.

This activity is complemented by an intense effort to transfer knowledge to the business sector: in collaboration with Caixa Popular, workshops and conferences are regularly organized for SMEs to bring social responsibility and sustainability closer to the day-to-day operations of organizations; in collaboration with Seidor, periodic studies are carried out on the state of digital transformation in Valencian companies, in order to guide improvement strategies adapted to the reality of the territory.
