As a result, organisations increasingly need to incorporate talent capable of understanding and integrating these changes”.

The European Skills Year aims to ensure that professional skills are fit for the needs of the labour market, also by cooperating with social partners and businesses; matching people's aspirations and capabilities to opportunities in the labour market, especially for the green and digital transition and economic recovery, paying particular attention to activating more people for the labour market, in particular women and young people, with an emphasis on those neither in education, employment nor training.

“The new educational model is a system that tries to make actors interact within the framework of the new labour market. To do this, it incorporates a sustainability module in any study plan, regardless of the profession, to incorporate green skills to all professionals. It is a model at the service of companies, to incorporate qualified personnel with the skills required by the new labour market,” Clara explained.
