Last Monday, February 23, the day took place “The Age of Uncertainty”, organized within the framework of the lecture series Corporate Banking by Caixa Popular and the Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo (CEiH) of the University of Valencia.
The session, led by Professor Vicente J. Pallardó López, was held at the Caixa Popular office located on Cirilo Amorós street in Valencia and brought together professionals interested in better understanding the current complex international economic context and its implications for the business fabric.
During the presentation, Professor Pallardó offered a rigorous diagnosis of the current international economic contextcharacterized by high levels of uncertainty and a rapidly changing geopolitical environment. However, he emphasized that, despite this scenario, the global economy is showing remarkable resilience.
The conference addressed the role of the US administration led by Donald Trump, the structural challenges facing the Chinese economy, and the impact these international dynamics may have on the European and Spanish economies.
In this context, issues related to the evolution of international trade, geopolitical tensions, and their potential influence on the strategic decisions of companies and public administrations were addressed. The session highlighted the importance of understanding the global macroeconomic environment as a key element for anticipating risks and opportunities in a context characterized by volatility and economic interdependence.
The event is part of the joint commitment of Caixa Popular and Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo to offer spaces for reflection that allow companies and professionals to interpret the changes in the socio-economic environment and make informed decisions in the face of present and future challenges.
