On May 16 and 23, the facilities of the Mas Camarena Pre-University Complex the two sessions of the course 'How to implement your sustainability strategy aligned with the SDGs', organized by EGM Paterna Technology Park and Paterna City of Businesses, with the support of the Ministry of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality, and taught by the Chair of Business and Humanism of the University of Valencia.
In the first session, participants were offered a contextualisation of the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) when making business decisions aligned with social responsibility and sustainability (SR+S), incorporating these aspects into the reason for being of their respective entities. In this sense, the origin of the SDGs and their achievement to date were addressed, focusing on the progress made both globally and in Spain and the Valencian Community. At the same time, examples of practices related to SR+S within the reach of any entity were also offered.
In the second session, following an eminently practical methodology, the participants learned to integrate the SDGs when proposing sustainability plans and actions in their respective companies. Both the practical training and the reference materials provided for the course by the Chair seek to align the strategy of the different entities with sustainability and the 2030 Agenda.
