Thomas Gonzalez-Cruz, director of the Chair of Business and Humanism of the University of Valencia, has participated in the third day of the II Training Cycle in Sustainable Economy and Social Responsibility, organized by the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, which this edition was held in Benicarló.
The objective of the Vocational Training Courses is, through training, to provide responses, support, guidance and tools to local entities and the SME sector in activities related to social responsibility and sustainability (SR+S).
This third day, whose main theme has been 'The role of social agents in the sustainability of SMEs', It has had the participation of important personalities from the Community and experts in RS+S such as the Hon. Mr. Jose Vicent Soler Girones, General Director of Sustainable Economy, of the Conselleria d'Economia Sostenible, Sectors Productius, Comerç i Treball, Mr. Vicent Gil Olmedo, Secretary General of the FVMP and Mrs. Rosario Miralles Ferrando, Mayor President of the Benicarló City Council, among others.
In his presentation, Tomás spoke about 'The Register of Socially Responsible Valencian Entities, an instrument for the application of sustainability in Valencian SMEs', the context of application, as well as the alignment with sustainability legislation and the competitive advantages of business registration in the Registry.
"The main challenge with this Registry is to achieve complete, neutral and comparable Social Responsibility reports, based on a system of common indicators for all entities regardless of their size," said the director of the Chair.
