The diary The Provinces has interviewed Thomas Gonzalez-Cruz, director of the Chair of Business and Humanism of the University of Valencia, and has highlighted the work of the same in a publication for its section 'Business Chairs', a space to practice public-private collaboration and to build bridges to innovation and employment between the university and the business community.
The newspaper has highlighted the Chair's exponential growth over its short history and its work in seeking to turn the challenges of sustainability and digital transformation into an opportunity for the development of a more just and inclusive society.
"The Chair was established in 2017 as a meeting point for public administration, universities, businesses, and the third sector to work together to develop and launch models and tools that enable all types of organizations, regardless of size, to improve their social responsibility and sustainability practices.", Tomás explained.
In turn, the director of the Chair has highlighted the collaboration of entities such as the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Employment, Caixa Popular and CE/R+S, among others, to make this project possible.
Finally, Tomás confirmed that the CEiH will continue working toward the goals of "consolidating all the projects initiated, reaching out to SMEs, and explaining to them that social responsibility and sustainability are critical factors for their survival, in addition to increasing private sector participation in funding the chair."
