The CEiH, present at the II Sustainable Local Trade Forum of L'Eliana

He Department of Economic Promotion and Employment of the Mancomunitat Camp de Túria along with the Association for the Economy of the Common Good (EBCONNECTA) celebrated last October 18th the 2nd edition of the Forum on Sustainable Local Trade, an event attended by regional associations and speakers specializing in sustainable economics, which aims to highlight the importance of this sector for the Camp de Túria region.

Among these professionals, there was the presence of Tomás González, director of the Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo of the University of Valencia, Sandrine Gil, director of the Franco-Spanish Valencian Chamber of Commerce and founder of the ConnectClean Platform, and Jose Luis Muñóz, Senior Advisor of IVEI (Innovation Technology Transformation)The session was also attended by members of the Camp de Túria town councils, businesses, and shops, who had the opportunity to discuss topics of interest to the region's sustainability directly with the speakers.

The session began with a welcome from the president of the Camp de Túria Commonwealth, Amparo Navarro and of Antonio Moya, director of Service to the General Directorate of Economy, who highlighted the importance of local commerce for citizens. She was also introduced by the director of the supra-municipal entity's Economic Promotion Department, Chelo Herráez and Julio Tárrega, president of EBCONNECTA.

A roundtable discussion was also held where several local merchants were able to share their personal experiences with sustainable local commerce. Participants were Mauro Lorenzo, Secretary of the Trade Union, Yolanda Albert, president of ACEO (Association of Merchants and Businessmen of Olocau), and Chelo Pardo, president of the Association of Commerce, Restaurants and Services of l'Eliana.

The event saw the premiere of the audiovisual campaign "Click and Buy Here," aimed at promoting the values of local commerce. It was presented by Marta Andrés, Councilor for Major Projects and Economic Promotion of the L'Eliana City Council. The town's mayor, Salva Torrent, also participated, closing the event.

In addition, welcome gifts were offered, including Eco-Friendly Writing Kits and an exclusive bag of rice from the Albufera region. At the end, a raffle was held for a double night's stay at the Hotel Cullera Holiday, a pioneer in sustainability, and an "Afternoon Networking" event was held, featuring catering from "Sabores Locales."

This Forum was financially supported by the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Public Administration and the collaboration of the L'Eliana Town Hall.
