The Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo (CEiH) of the University of Valencia, in collaboration with Caixa Popular, has organized a course to help companies advance in their sustainability management and register in the Registry of Socially Responsible Valencian Entities (SIR Registry).
The practical and participatory program is structured into three in-person sessions. The first session, held on Thursday, September 25, presented the various current legislative frameworks and introduced the Report for Good tool, which allows organizations to assess and manage their environmental, social, governance, and economic impacts in a single platform.
Likewise, the steps for successfully completing registration in the SIR Registry were detailed, a process in which participating companies will receive specialized support and guidance. This public registry, attached to the Ministry of Finance and Economy, recognizes socially responsible Valencian entities. Created by Law 18/2018 and implemented by Decree 200/2022, it recognizes companies, cooperatives, self-employed individuals, social economy entities, and public administrations that integrate ethical, social, environmental, and innovation principles into their management. To obtain the registry seal, it is necessary to complete a self-assessment, a social responsibility report, and a social audit report.
The reception was excellent, as all attendees expressed their satisfaction with the practical value of the training. At CEiH, we emphasize our pleasure in promoting initiatives of this type that foster the sustainability and competitiveness of Valencia's business community.
