The Chair of Business and Humanism at the University of Valencia participated in the latest edition of the "Ana Roca Mengual" awards, promoted by the Vice-Dean's Office for Participation, Volunteering and Equality, and developed by the CEiH, in collaboration with the Delegation for Incorporation into the University, the Chair of International Finance at Banco Santander and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia.
Vocational training and high school students from schools in Aldaia, Manises, Paterna, and Valencia participated in the competition, and positive evaluations were given for its innovation, viability, social commitment, environmental sensitivity, and public presentation.
Winning projects
The Chair has awarded the DIVERSITOYS project, presented by Marta Serra Vicens, Victoria Greses Giménez, Éinar Soler I Soler and Eric Sales Galindo, and directed by Silvia Aparisi Requena and Cristina Gasó Ponce from the IES Ferrer y Guardia in Valencia.
The other three winning projects were: UBIMAX, presented by Iván Andreu Suárez, Adolfo Manuel Salazar Dasilva and Ángela Jiménez Espinosa, and directed by Javier Crespo Félix from the IES La Cañada in Paterna, which won the award sponsored by the Faculty of Economics; AI ADVANCE PEST CONTROL, presented by Alba Álvarez Tormos, Stella Bayona Sedeño, Santiago Martínez Lozano and Luisa Fernanda Robayo Julio, and directed by Emili Marín Cerdá from the CIPFP Vicente Blasco Ibáñez in Valencia, which won the award sponsored by the Chair "International Finance - Banco de Santander" and PROTEG, presented by Noelia Ferrer Mínguez, Mireia Ferrer y Pardo, Pau Soria Mayen and Lucía Tordera Requena, and directed by Miriam Lorente Jiménez from the IES Enric Valor in Picanya, which won the award sponsored by the Faculty of Economics.
Institutions present
The awards ceremony was presided over by Joaquín Aldás, Vice-Rector for Planning, Quality, and Information Technology; Francisco Muñoz, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; José Constantino García, Director of the "International Finance - Banco de Santander" Chair; and Deyanira Sánchez, representative of the Cátedra de Empresa y Humanismo. Also in attendance was José Miguel Lorente, Director of Regional Institutions at Banco Santander. All of them expressed their congratulations and gratitude to the participating students and faculty for leading projects once again this year, highlighting their entrepreneurial spirit, their commitment to social values, as well as the courage and academic rigor with which the finalists defended their business ideas.
