This year&#039;s event, which took place on October 19th, exceeded all expectations, marking a significant milestone in promoting digital transformation and business innovation in the Valencian Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by prominent personalities such as <strong>Mr. Francisco Mu\u00f1oz Murgi, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia, Mr. Joaqu\u00edn Ald\u00e1s-Manzano, Vice-rector of Planning, Qualitat and Information Technologies and Mr. Jos\u00e9 Vicente Todol\u00ed Masquefa, General Director of Economy of the Generalitat Valenciana<\/strong>, among other experts and businessmen.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day was filled with in-depth and insightful discussions on digital transformation in companies in the Valencian Community, covering topics such as technology adoption strategies, economic impact, legal and regulatory challenges, and the role of innovation in business competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/tomasgonzalezcruz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thomas Gonzalez Cruz,<\/a> Director of the CEIH,<\/strong> expressed his gratitude for the success of the event and the collaboration of all those involved. <strong>&quot;The Chair has been working since 2017 to become a space for interaction between the public administration, businesses, and universities.<\/strong> We are very grateful to our sponsors, the Regional Ministry of Finance, Economy and Public Administration, Caixa Popular, and SEIDOR, to whom we give special thanks for collaborating on this event and providing us with the opportunity to have an excellent panel of speakers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia,<strong> Don Francisco Mu\u00f1oz Murg <\/strong>He said: &quot;I am at this event today representing the academy. Concerted action between the Generalitat (Generalitat), educational centers, and companies is necessary,&quot; he stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event left an optimistic outlook for the future of digital transformation in the region, highlighting the need to continue collaborating to promote digitalization and business innovation as drivers of development and prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Main conclusions of the II Barometer of Digital Transformation in Companies in the Valencian Community<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>For 59% of Valencian companies, technology has become an essential factor to boost their businesses.<\/strong>This reality is especially relevant among larger companies, in which the <strong>technology <\/strong>reaches a strategic value equivalent to that of the <strong>economy <\/strong>and the <strong>competence <\/strong>from other companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Companies remain focused on <strong>process optimization (32%) <\/strong>and the <strong>innovation within the company (27%)<\/strong>, considering both as factors that will determine the competitiveness of companies and that are a prior and fundamental basis for the effectiveness of digital transformation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or sustainability<\/strong> represent only a <strong>7% <\/strong>of the factors that companies consider to condition their competitiveness and, therefore, are not yet considered critical factors of competitiveness, remaining very far from other factors, such as process optimization or innovation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cybersecurity, a priority.&nbsp; <\/strong>Among the technological projects carried out by Valencian companies over the last year, the study shows a great deal of homogeneity in the priorities given to technologies considered transversal. Thus, <strong>52% <\/strong>of companies have invested in projects <strong>cybersecurity; <\/strong>a 44% in <strong>collaboration<\/strong>; a <strong>45% in Cloud infrastructure <\/strong>(<strong>a 45%) <\/strong>and a <strong>37% <\/strong>in <strong>CRM.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strategic value of digital.&nbsp; <\/strong>Companies&#039; digitalization gaps are narrowing, although significant gaps remain in certain sectors, such as the agri-food and logistics transport sectors. Specifically, the companies surveyed assign <strong>digitalization <\/strong>a <strong>strategic value of 8.6 out of 10<\/strong>, but, at the same time, these same companies consider that the&nbsp; <strong>effective level reached is 7.2<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digitalization<\/strong> It has become a critical factor in all areas of the company, from sales to production, including HR and marketing.
