{"id":557,"date":"2023-03-06T11:21:31","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T11:21:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/ctdr\/?p=557"},"modified":"2023-03-06T11:22:59","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T11:22:59","slug":"the-generalitat-will-recognize-socially-responsible-valencian-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/en\/sustainability\/the-generalitat-will-recognize-socially-responsible-valencian-companies\/","title":{"rendered":"The Generalitat presents the Register of Socially Responsible Valencian Entities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<strong>General Directorate of Sustainable Economy<\/strong>\u00a0of the<strong> Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor<\/strong>, has presented the <strong>\u00a0Registry of socially responsible Valencian entities<\/strong> which will come into force on March 7, 2023, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dogv.gva.es\/es\/resultat-dogv?signatura=2022\/11491&amp;L=1\">Decree 200\/2022<\/a> of November 25, 2018, of the Consell, which regulates social responsibility in Valencian entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decree is the instrument through which the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/diario_boe\/txt.php?id=BOE-A-2018-12517\">Law 18\/2018 of July 13<\/a> of the GVA that seeks to promote commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability through the creation of the <strong>Registry of Socially Responsible Valencian Entities (REVSR).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entities that want to qualify<strong> <\/strong>as<strong> Socially Responsible Valencian Company, <\/strong>In addition to complying with current legal obligations, they must voluntarily integrate the principles and criteria of social responsibility and sustainability (SR+S) into their activities, structure, and strategy. These include the ethical, social and labor, environmental, and R&amp;D+i aspects included in Law 18\/2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#039;s everything you need to know about the REVSR:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives and benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The membership in the <strong>REVSR, <\/strong>It allows entities to measure their SR+S performance through a system of indicators and reflect it in their sustainability report. This report must be verified by a qualified third party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits of being awarded the status of a socially responsible Valencian entity, in addition to an improvement in the organization&#039;s reputation, extend to aspects such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"a\">\n<li><strong>Public procurement<\/strong>: Being socially responsible will be considered as a tie-breaking criterion in the award, in accordance with the provisions of public sector contract legislation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Granting of public aid and subsidies<\/strong>: This will be a criterion for evaluation or weighting in the regulatory bases and calls for aid and subsidies. This will also include the implementation of sustainability practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Display of seal or badge<\/strong>: Right to use and advertise in all their relationships the distinctive that accredits them as socially responsible entities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tax benefits<\/strong>It is expected that regional tax regulations may establish tax benefits in the future. This has not yet been finalized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the Registry Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is a summary of the main points to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Who can request qualification?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Self-employed workers, companies, and public and private organizations with workplaces, offices, or establishments in the Valencian Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. What information should I provide?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The documents required to be a socially responsible entity are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Self-assessment according to the sustainability indicator system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability Report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social verification audit report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. What does self-assessment consist of?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to assess sustainability performance, the decree adds a requirement for a self-assessment based on the normatively established system of indicators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These indicators are based on international reference models, seeking the highest common denominator among all and considering all dimensions of sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decree establishes the existence of three groups of entities. How to present the sustainability report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As the decree states, \u201c<em>Valencian entities must submit a social responsibility report that systematically collects their analytical results, in accordance with the criteria and values expressed in this decree.&quot;<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To be valid, the memory must:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a) Be transparent and truthful; b) Include stakeholder opinions; c) Be verifiable, complete, relevant, and appropriate to the entity&#039;s organizational context; and d) Be accurate, neutral, comparable, and clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this purpose, the report must be based on one of the generally accepted national or international models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of entities with fewer than 50 employees, they may transform the results of the self-assessment of the indicator system into a Social Responsibility Report. This report must be accompanied by documents proving the accuracy of its assessment or a statement of responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. What does the social verification audit consist of?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the decree, the social verification audit \u201c<em>It constitutes a useful tool for the entity itself, since it helps with internal control and continuous improvement in management, increases the credibility of the information provided and strengthens its image and reputation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It consists of a qualified third party verifying compliance with the RS + S values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This may be an individual, entity, or independent body with experience in auditing, verification, certification, or standardization and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The audit must be signed by at least one person with a higher education degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#039;s important to know that, in the case of self-employed workers, as well as organizations with fewer than 50 employees, the annual report will be equivalent to a social audit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. How the rating works<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve the qualification as a socially responsible Valencian entity, each entity must achieve the minimum scores established for the various indicators according to its group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"310\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1024x310.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1024x310.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-300x91.png 300w, https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-768x232.png 768w, https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1536x465.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.catedradeempresayhumanismo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image.png 1772w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Source: Annex I Decree 200\/2022<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The report with a favorable or unfavorable result will be issued one month after the request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the report is issued, a proposed resolution will be prepared and must be notified to the requesting entities so they can submit their objections.<br><br>The deadline for resolving qualification requests will be six months, and if they are not expressly resolved within this period, they will be deemed rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualification as a socially responsible entity will require registration with the REVSR for a period of two years.
