She has led initiatives that have generated disruptive changes in health promotion at institutions such as Rioja Salud, Madrid Salud, and, since 2019, at Ribera Salud, a healthcare business group that has been working since 1997 to improve the health and well-being of the population, contributing to the sustainability of the public healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TG: What is your clear and comprehensive vision of Social Responsibility and Sustainability?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TM: <\/strong>It&#039;s not an easy answer, but from a healthcare perspective, we have a responsibility to move toward a model that is sustainable over time, and to do so, we are doing so by advancing toward increasingly personalized, predictive, and preventative medicine. We are focused on how technology and innovation can provide us with solutions that allow us to be more efficient, improve the patient experience, enhance process optimization, and support professionals&#039; decision-making to achieve this new healthcare model.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;If you use technology and innovate, you&#039;ll eventually become a sustainable company.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There are three major trends affecting most organizations, regardless of sector or size: the need for continuous innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability. How does the Rivera Group address this, and how is it translated into strategic and action plans?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All three elements are very key. If you use technology and innovate, you will ultimately be a sustainable company. We do this from different perspectives. We have a technology division that allows us to develop technological solutions to everyday problems in hospitals and healthcare centers. We also work on innovation projects with <em>startups<\/em> and <em>corporations<\/em> with which we identify problems that together we can solve in a more efficient and different way, which helps us move forward more quickly on projects with which we can measure results.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What concrete results are you achieving?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the last two years, we have developed more than 18 innovation projects, primarily with a digital component. One of them is a virtual caregiver called Lola, which allows us to better monitor chronic patients more closely, enabling us to detect risks. This translates into reduced hospital admissions and stays, readmissions, and emergency department visits. All of this leads to improved sustainability and an improved patient experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In a sector as sensitive as healthcare, what obstacles or obstacles have you encountered along the way in the process of innovation and change?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of obstacles, we can say that confusion or lack of knowledge about the legal and regulatory aspects, changes in regulations, and data protection\u2014these fields sometimes clash with innovation processes that require agility and speed. This forces us to balance and see what can be done at all times to ensure we have everything covered in terms of security.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As facilitators, we have found that the professionals themselves are drivers of transformation, and this is very interesting because any digital transformation must also be a cultural transformation for the organization itself and its employees. In the beginning, there was greater hesitation when it came to adapting certain technologies and digital solutions as part of clinical practice. Today, healthcare professionals are asking us for help solving their daily problems with technology as a complement.
