On May 7th, the awards ceremony for the Ana M. Aroca Mengual Business Project Competition took place at the University of Valencia's Faculty of Economics. This competition is aimed at high school and vocational training students from throughout the Valencian Community. The aim is to foster entrepreneurial culture, creativity, and teamwork from an early age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The C\u00e1tedra de Empresa y Humanismo of the University of Valencia had the pleasure of participating in this initiative, promoted by the Office for Incorporation at the University of Valencia. In this case, Clara Sebasti\u00e1n, a researcher in training for the Social Economy PhD program at IUDESCOOP of the University of Valencia and a member of the chair's team, was part of the judging panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again, we support proposals that promote values of responsibility, innovation, and sustainability in the educational and business spheres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commitment and sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year's finalist projects stood out for their diversity and commitment to social and environmental issues. From ideas focused on sustainable mobility to proposals with cultural, technological, or environmental impact, they all reflect the potential of new generations to transform their environment through entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, which took place at the Tarongers Campus, the enthusiasm of the participating teams was palpable, as they presented their projects to the jury and the audience. The event concluded with the presentation of awards and special mentions, in an atmosphere of celebration and recognition of the collective effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UV C\u00e1tedra de Empresa y Humanismo Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the C\u00e1tedra de Empresa y Humanismo Award was given to the project REFOOD<\/em>, created by three students from the IES Francesc Ferrer i Gu\u00e0rdia in Valencia. An inspiring proposal that addresses food waste from a sustainable and supportive perspective, demonstrating how young entrepreneurship can generate real impact in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"I want to congratulate all of you who participated, and all of your teachers. Entrepreneurship requires enthusiasm, the acceptance of risk, and money. Remember that sustainability must be economic, social, and environmental, and I encourage you not to forget that money is not the end, but a very important means for entrepreneurship," declared Tom\u00e1s Gonz\u00e1lez-Cruz during the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
